Some lives are too big for a single conversation. This collection is for the family matriarch or patriarch, for the person who has lived through history, or for the family ready to invest in a lasting archive of their story. This is documentary filmmaking as a gift to the future.
What’s Included:
Everything in The Heirloom plus:
Multiple Interview Sessions: We will capture the subject’s voice, and also conduct interviews with children, grandchildren, colleagues, and friends. We will build a chorus of voices around one life.
Archival Research Assistance: I will work with you to gather letters, diaries, newspaper clippings, and certificates. We will digitise and preserve these fragile pieces of history within the film.
Comprehensive Home Movie Digitisation: I will digitise up to 10 tapes or reels of home movies, preserving them both for the film and for the family archive.
A Feature - Length Film: Your finished documentary will be 60 minutes or longer - a complete portrait, with chapters and depth.
A Private Family Screening: Once the film is complete, I will host a private screening for your family (in person, subject to location, or online via Zoom). This is a chance to gather, to watch together, and to celebrate the life you’ve honoured.
All Unedited Interview Audio: You will receive the full, unedited audio recordings of every interview - every story, every laugh, every pause - so nothing is ever lost.
